Mara explores aspects of low-fi magical realism, which are the conventions of cinema verite drawn into both drama and the abstract conceptual themes. In the same spirit of my debut feature film, Mara looks at the astral passage of the soul, in the ‘The Day and Night of Brahma’ through birth, in Mara through the essential passage of wisdom that is ‘Death’.
